Graham Cadwallader lives in Rothbury, in the Coquet valley close to the Northumberland National Park.
Graham has always been interested in photographing landscapes and has albums of black and white prints dating back to the age of Ilford film and Durst home enlargers.
During the 2020 coronavirus lockdown, Graham went into the local woods to photograph the trees and landscapes. In May 2021 Graham retired and has since used the time to explore new subjects and collate his stock of photographs into collections based on location.
His favourite subjects are trees, streams and ferns although the collections contain a variety of images mostly taken in the winter when the trees are bare, and the shadows and contrast are at their most intense.
New collections are in the process of being collated. Of particular interest to people living in the local area is a collection of photographs taken in the Coquet valley between Alwinton and the Roman fort at Chew Green. He is also collating landscape photographs taken in the lake District, mostly in the Grasmere, Ambleside and Langdale triangle. Graham hopes to add these collections later in 2022.
Also included are a number of other collections of leaves, tree stumps, shadows and seaweed.
